Now that Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) kicked off today, the iPhone rumors can be put to rest.  Along with a major upgrade to the iPhone OS,  iPhone 3.0, there will also be a new version of the phone itself – the iPhone 3GS.

For all you iPhone users out there, myself included, there have always been little nuisances inherent in the device and software: no cut and paste; no video, landscape mode (and the larger keyboard) does not work in many apps; the camera itself is not that great.  In the new iPhone, you will now have full-motion (30 fps) video, a 3.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus, and auto light balance.  You will be able to tap any part of the picture to focus on that object…that’s pretty awesome.  And you can also do simple editing of the videos (like cropping) right from the phone.
