Ever since I decided to learn more about / establish myself in the field of “sustainability,” I’ve had to undertake a lot of research.
Far, far too much research. Every time I click “open all bookmarks” on my “Research – Green Stuff” folder, my browser opens over 30 websites and blogs. Among them are standards like Treehugger and Mother Earth News, both of which could take hours just to browse.
So where to begin?
First of all, you have to know what you want to learn. Terms like “green” “eco” “sustainable” and the like are catch-phrases for an entire social/economic movement. So specify – are you interested in solar or wind power? Are you interested in organic food, local food, or sustainable farming techniques? Do you want to learn how to plant potatoes, or do you want to know about new potato farming methods? The more you narrow in on what you really want to learn, the better your chances of finding what you want.

I wonder if there's a way to digest things to just our community in some way. I subscribe to most of these green-ish blogs and it's always of some concern that the message might be getting lost in the jungle of information.
But thanks for the list – it pointed out a couple that I was not aware of
You mean like: http://www.mygardenpartners.com/ or clearer in purpose? Basically it's a wiki, to which I have posted, but it doesn't seem like it's panning out like the creators wanted it to.

I was thinking the same thing Sundar, and also relating that to the need for (as we've discussed before) a crowd sourced wiki that communities could deploy individually to suit their needs but it would also tap into all the available resources and pull the relevant ones to their portal.
